Our continuous Swim School program will finish for 2024 on Sunday 22 December, with classes recommencing Monday 3 February.

    Parent and baby

    6 months - 3 years

    Parent and baby classes will introduce your baby to the water in a gentle, safe and encouraging way. Parent participation is required for this class. You will be in the pool with your baby assisting them as they establish their enjoyment and confidence.

    Our classes build water confidence and teach floating and basic swimming through group activities and water play. Parents must provide in-water supervision.

    These classes are all about establishing children's familiarity of the water by practising paddle hands, leg kicks, floating and safe entry and exit from the water. As the class progresses, focus moves to unassisted skills and the development of water treading and the freestyle stroke.

      Pre-school Level 1 - Beginner

      Children enrolled in our pre-school lessons develop their independence as they start to become more familiar in the water. Classes are centered on physical, social, emotional and cognitive development

    6 - 15 years

    Classes focus on stroke technique across freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke. Later stages introduce survival strokes, butterfly stroke and elements of competitive swimming including diving and endurance in preparation for squad levels.

      Level 1 - Beginner

      This beginner level is focused on water familiarisation and building confidence. Students will learn breath control, submersion, flotation and exploration of body position in the water.

      Level 6 - Junior

      Classes focus on stroke technique across freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke. This will introduce survival strokes and elements of competitive swimming including diving.

      Level 7 - Intermediate

      Classes focus on stroke technique across freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke. This will introduce survival strokes and elements of competitive swimming including diving and endurance training.

    With Junior, Intermediate and Senior levels, our squad program is designed to refine technique, test endurance, increase fitness and advance current skills. These levels introduce butterfly, use of a pace clock, starts and turns with a competition focus.
